Scotty Robinson

Randall Scott “Scotty” Robinson was born and raised in West Monroe, LA. He graduated from West Monroe High School in 2005 and attended ULM where he majored in Business Entrepreneurship. He is 34 years old and has been married to Ashley Plunk Robinson, his high school sweet heart, for 12 years. They have 3 children: Kate (8), Connor (5), and Chance (6 mo.). He and his family are active members of First Baptist Church in West Monroe. Scotty developed a passion for history and politics from a young age as he watched his dad serve on the Ouachita Parish School Board for over 20 years. In 2011, Scotty was elected to the Ouachita Parish Police Jury at the age of 25 becoming the youngest juror in Louisiana history. At age 29, he began serving as the President of Ouachita Parish, a parish consisting of 156,000 people and over 800 miles of roads. He has been re-elected twice without opposition and is currently serving his third term. Scotty has also taken an active role serving on the Executive Board of the Police Jury Association of Louisiana, an organization that seeks improve parish government. He will serve as the President of the Association for 2020 (LPGOV.org). In addition to his duties on the jury, Scotty is a real estate investor with properties throughout North Louisiana.

In 2016 Ouachita Parish faced unprecedented flooding and as President of Ouachita Parish Police Jury, Scotty Robinson declared a State of Emergency for the parish.

With the help of the National Guard and everyday citizens, Ouachita Parish and the surrounding communities came together to protect the livelihood of our people.
